Yes, Yas Island has got your spring break covered. Here are our top suggestions for your Yas Island spring break holiday with the family.

1.Visit One, Two or All Three Theme Parks

Yas Island Abu Dhabi is popular among theme park aficionados because of its three world-famous theme parks.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is known for its fast thrills, especially its roller coasters. Don't forget to experience Formula Rossa, the world's fastest rollercoaster, and Flying Aces, the world's tallest non-inverted roller coaster loop.

Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi is a land of make-believe. Explore the world of your favourite television characters. Meet the Flintstones, the Jetsons, Tom and Jerry, Scooby-Doo and Shaggy, Batman and Gotham's super-villains, Superman, and many more through rides in varying degrees of exciting, chilling and wholesome.

Yas Waterworld is water's greatest playground. Spread over 37 acres are more than 40 slides, rides and experiences. Get on the world's largest six-person tornado coaster in Dawwama, the world's largest sheet wave in Bubbles Barrel, a 10-storey body slide in Jebel Drop, and a 5D waterlogged cinema in Cinesplash, among other attractions.

Tip: If you plan to visit all three theme parks during your family holidays in Abu Dhabi, get a three-day, three-park pass. Alternatively, you can get a hotel stay package that comes with theme park tickets.

2.Take a Walk on the Yas Bay Waterfront Promenade

Yas Bay is Yas Island's newest and hippest development, and in it, you will find the Yas Bay Waterfront. The waterfront promenade is perfect for a stroll during cool afternoons and evenings.

The promenade is an avenue 3 kilometres long along the south-facing end of Yas Island facing Al Raha Creek. Along the boardwalk, you will see larger-than-life sculptures and installations. Make sure to look for the giant AstroCat; young kids love him.

Make your way to the Etihad Arena, and you should be able to spot a curious sight. It is a bronze head and hand sculpture. It looks like a giant that has been petrified just as it had been coming out of the water.

If you get hungry, you can eat at one of the many cafes and restaurants along the waterfront. There are also plenty of benches. Sit on them as you take in the sights and sounds of this vibrant place.

3.Watch a Show at Etihad Arena

Since you're already in the neighbourhood, why don't you take in a show at Etihad Arena?

Spanning 35,000 square metres of prime waterfront space, Etihad Arena has a capacity of 18,000 and is the largest indoor entertainment venue in the Middle East. It hosts various events, such as mixed martial arts fights, boxing bouts, stand-up comedy shows, concerts, and Disney productions.

    4.Dine at Pier71

Pier71 is essentially what its name says it is. It is a pier that juts off the Yas Bay Waterfront. However, it's not just a berth for yachts. On your spring break family holiday, make sure to visit Pier 71 for its selection of dining options.

For a first-class dining experience, visit Paradiso. This restaurant by world-renowned chef Pierre Gagnaire (he has 14 Michelin stars under his belt) and restaurateur Nicole Rubi serves French and Mediterranean cuisine.

If you're in the mood for North African and Middle Eastern fusion cuisine, visit chef Greg Malouf's Bushra. Asia Asia is another restaurant serving Middle Eastern fusion cuisine, combining Asian and Middle Eastern flavours.

For Japanese food, you can go to Daikan Izakaya for ramen and Akiba Dori for Japanese street food. Finally, if you like beer and grilled meats and seafood, head to Hunter & Barrel.

Ready foe spring break?

Get your bags packed and book one of the available Yas Island packages. Visit some of the world's most famous theme parks, take a stroll at the Yas Bay promenade, watch a show at Etihad Arena, and indulge your taste buds at Pier 71 for an unforgettable spring break family holiday.
