Experience Hub LLC is the Data Controller. Experience Hub LLC (“hereinafter referred to as “Experience Hub” “we” “us” or “our“) is responsible for promoting the attractions within Yas Island and elsewhere. Attractions within Yas Island include Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi and Yas Waterworld (the “Leisure Facilities“) to name a few. What is Personal Data?
Personal data is any information that allows to identify you as an individual in a direct or indirect way. Examples of personal data are your name, email address, postal address, location data and online identifiers. Statistical data such as the number of guests in a Leisure Facility is not personal data.
What Personal Data do we collect and process about you?
The Website and App allow you to explore what is new on Yas Island and discover the latest promotions and attractions. To provide you with our services, we process some of your personal data. Below, we describe what personal data we collect about you and how we collect it:
When you register
When you create an account with us, you provide us with your full name, nationality, country of residence, email address and telephone number. With this information we create for you an unique identifier – the “Yas ID” to allow you to log into our services in one step.
When you make a booking
When you book a package with us, we will request you to provide us with personal information about you and the people that will accompany you in order to execute the reservation. Such information could include name, email, telephone number, nationality, country of residence, number of children and adults guests, children age, check-in/out date, room preferences. Depending on the package you are purchasing, you will be requested to provide us with different informaiton which is necessary for the booking. For example, if the package includes a flight ticket reservation, you will be requested to provide passport or ID details.
When you create a profile
When you have registered and created a profile with us, you are free to provide us with personal information relating to your preferences so that we can provide you with personalised offers and content. Such information may relate to your travelling interests and communications preferences with us.
Why do we collect and process this information?
To provide you with personalised content: To enhance your experience on Yas Island we want to provide you with personalised content which matches your preferences and interests. In order to do this, we ask you to register an account with us and create a profile which allows us to understand you better. You are free to decide whether to register or not, and you are the one deciding what information you are willing to share with us while completing your profile. If you decide not to create an account, you will still be able to browse our Website and see some offers for attractions. However, you will not be able to see personalised content and redeem exclusive offers reserved for registered users. These offers may include offers from our affiliate companies or offers from third parties.
To execute your booking: The information that we request you to provide when you book a package is necessary to allow us to complete your reservations with our partners.
To communicate with you: With your consent, we would like to reach out to you via email, sms and/or push notifications (available only while using the Mobile Application) to inform you of our latest updates, promotions, news and offers. If you have chosen not to register an account with us, we will reach out to you via email only if you sign up for our newsletter. If you no longer wish to receive emails, you can withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing (option available in the email itself). You can control your communication preferences via the settings at any time.
To provide you with real-time and location based exclusive offers (available only via the Mobile Application): When you register via our App, you will be asked whether you want to receive push notifications on the latest updates, promotions, news, offers and events. Some of these notifications may be personalised based on your location and preferences. You may opt-out of receiving push notifications at any time via your App settings.
To improve our services/products and prevent against potential hacker attacks: The information that we automatically collect allows us to constantly improve our services and products and provide you with an enhanced experience. For example, this information allows us to identify you as a user and remember your preferences, or to allow us to best display the page on our Website you wish to visit. To this end, such data is not retained beyond your visit of the respective Website page, but may be kept in log files to allow us to maintain and improve our Website; detect, investigate and prevent / rectify any (potential) errors of our Website; detect, investigate and prevent / defend against (potential) hacker attacks or other abuse of our Website as well as to prevent any damages that are likely to be caused and rectify any damages that have been caused by such abuse.
Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but also allow you to modify your browser settings to block them. You can also set your browser to warn you before it accepts cookies and refuse the cookie when your browser alerts you to its presence. If you accept cookies, you can also delete them later.
However, blocking, refusing to accept or deleting cookies may prevent the Website/App or certain of its functions from functioning properly. For example, all pages which require a login and password cannot be accessed without cookies. When deleting cookies, any preferences controlled by those cookies, including advertising preferences, will be lost.
We may integrate on our Website/App third party products such as Google Analytics, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter cookies, to enable us to measure the performance of our website and website content; provide you with individualized offers and enable you to share, like and recommend pages to others via social media.
How do we share your data with third parties?
We may share your information with our affiliated companies, agents, partners and other stakeholders for the purposes of providing you with our services. For example, to execute your booking, we will need to share some of your information with our partners to allow them to process your reservations. Such partners could include hotels, airlines, museums, transport providers. We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to other third parties unless you have given us permission or we are required by law to do so. In some cases, the data may be accessible to certain types of persons in charge, involved with the operation of the Website/App (administration, sales, marketing, legal, system administration) or external parties (such as third party technical service providers, mail carriers, hosting providers, IT companies, communications agencies) appointed, if necessary, as data processors by us.
How do we protect your Personal Data?
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any password or account details (as may be applicable from time to time) and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your password or account.
How can you control your Personal Data?
You have the right at any time to: (i) request from us access to, rectification or erasure of, or restriction of processing concerning your data; (ii) object to the processing of your data; as well as (iii) data portability. If you wish to discuss how we have handled your personal data, you can contact us at any time and we will investigate the matter. If you are not satisfied with the response or believe we are not processing your data in accordance with the applicable law you can refer the matter to any competent data protection authority.
Our Website may provide for a contact form or other means that allow you to get in touch and interact with us. These means of communication on our Website may permit or require you to provide data in relation to you, including: first name, last name; your company; email address; telephone number, country of residence, the type of your enquiry and the message you wish to send to us at Privacy@yasisland.ae. We may use this data to answer your request.
